What is Dr. Grandel Effect Peeling?
Dr. Grandel Effect Peeling is the brand’s classic exfoliant from its Cleansing series. Its creamy formulation works in two ways.
As a scrub, it uses the finest bamboo particles to physically buff away cornified skin cells. In addition, as a mask, it uses white kaolin clay to draw out excess sebum and refine the look of pores.
According to Dr. Grandel, the result is a balanced, refined complexion. The brand notes it also works well on hands needing the same buffing, clarifying care.
Key benefits of Dr. Grandel Effect Peeling
- 2-in-1 exfoliation and masking: combines a physical scrub with a clay mask in one creamy formula.
- Buffs away rough texture: fine bamboo particles remove cornified skin cells for a smoother surface.
- Refines the look of pores: white clay adsorbs excess oil and also reduces shine.
- Multi-use: Dr. Grandel also recommends it as an exfoliating hand peeling.
Key ingredients
Kaolin, a white clay also known as china clay, is included for its balancing effect on redness and excess oily shine. Bambusa Arundinacea (Bamboo) Stem Extract supplies the fine exfoliating particles. These particles are prized for an abrasive yet mattifying effect that leaves a refined complexion.
In addition, a biotechnologically obtained Protease enzyme works alongside the physical particles. It provides a gentle additional exfoliating action, supporting the skin’s natural cell turnover.
How to use Effect Peeling
- Apply to cleansed skin of the face, neck and décolleté once or twice a week.
- Then leave the mask to work on the skin for about 10 minutes.
- If you want an exfoliating effect, massage in with gentle circular movements.
- Finally, rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Avoid contact with the eyes. Also, this product is for external use only.
Who it is for
Dr. Grandel recommends Effect Peeling for combination, normal, dry and oily skin looking for a refining, balancing weekly treatment. Because of its clay component, it is a particularly good match for skin that runs oily or shows enlarged pores.
Retail size vs. professional size
This listing is the 200 ml (6.8 fl oz) professional tube. This larger format suits a salon’s repeat client treatments. It also suits a home user who wants an extended supply of the same exfoliating mask. Dr. Grandel also sells this mask in smaller retail sizes.
